This was definitely ’Comfort Food’ when I was growing up! Mother could stretch it to feed all 8 of us and we loved it. Just a few ingredients and it was….and still is, delicious and satisfying. Eat it on toast, biscuits, mashed potatoes or however you choose.
3 (2 oz) packages Chipped Beef
1/2 cup (1stick) butter
1/3 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
3 cups milk
1. Melt butter in skillet then add cut up chopped beef.
2. Add flour and allow it to thicken.
3 .Slowly add milk and allow it to thicken after each addition.
4. Add salt and pepper
5. Serve on toasted bread, mashed potatoes, biscuits or however you like.
