Chipped Beef Gravy

This meal was a fantastic ‘standby’ with our large family. It’s easy to make and only takes a few ingredients. I had no idea it would be so difficult to find the packages of the beef, but Walmart came through. I remember years ago my mom got it in little glass jars…..and we saved the jars for our morning juice! Great memories! I’m sure this will bring back memories for you too.

3 (2 oz.) packages Chipped Beef

1/2 cup (1 stick) butter

1/3 cup flour

1/2 tsp. Salt

1/2 tsp. Pepper

3 cups milk

1. Melt butter in skillet.

2. Add cut up chipped beef

3. Add flour & allow it to thicken

4. Slowly add milk and allow it to thicken after each addition.

5. Add salt & pepper and stir well.

6. Serve on biscuits, toasted bread, mashed potatoes or however you like it.
