Apple Pecan Scones

Every Fall I find myself making recipes that use apples. So I decided to try these scones. We were so happy with how they turned out. I hope you’ll give them a try.

They are especially good with a hot cup of coffee or some fresh cider 🍎.

Apple Pecan Scones

1/3 cup sugar

2 tsp. Baking powder

1/2 tsp. Baking Soda

1/4 tsp. Salt

1/2 chopped pecans

1 apple peeled and cut into small pieces

3/4-1 cup milk

Couple shakes ground cinnamon (optional)

1. Preheat oven to 425 degrees

2. Mix first 5 ingredients well

3. Add butter and cut into dry ingredients with a pastry blender

4. Add apples and pecans to dry ingredients and butter and stir well

5. Add enough milk to blend all together

6. Place on floured surface and knead a few times

7. Press with hands to form a round disk

8. Cut into 8 wedges and sprinkle with cinnamon & sugar mixture

9. Place on parchment lined baking pan or baking stone
