We used to do our turkey in a fryer. And it was delicious! But, I bought my hubby a smoker several years ago and now he smokes it. And we ALL love it🦃
I like to rub it with olive oil, then rub it with a Poultry Rub. It’s even better if you prep it with the oil & rub and let it sit in the fridge over night!!
After it’s smoked I sometimes cover it with foil & put into the oven at 350 degrees for an hour or so. When it cools I slice & debone and Thanksgiving morning put it in the slow cooker with chicken broth. So fresh and moist🦃
